Our planet has blessed us with extraordinary resources in the Deccan Plateau between The Krishna River and the Penna River. Kadappa Stone is a unique, versatile, striking, dimensional black limestone. This limestone is resilient to weathering and exhibits timeless endurance. Therefore, it is the ideal and perfect natural stone for buildings and construction projects.
Kadappa Stone is similar to Belgian Blue Stone:
The Kadappa Stone shares color and properties similar to that of Belgian Blue Stone. It is resilient to harsh weather conditions and can withstand extreme temperature changes. As this is a limestone, it mainly contains calcite. Calcite may erode on exposure to highly reactive acids. Therefore, we must use this stone in an environment without acid exposure.

The Kadappa Stone trade processes slabs in various thickness ranges that start from 15mm to 200mm or even higher for special orders. We process slabs in naturally split or sawn surfaces. For thicknesses less than 15mm, we supply machine-sawn tiles. Due to the diverse range of thicknesses, designers and architects can plan their projects for several applications.
- Wall cladding
- Flooring
- Counter-tops
- Paving
- Sidewalks
- Pool coping and decks
- Patios
- Stone Furniture
- Monuments
- Murals
- Fire pits and fireplaces
The above list is incomplete; we can customize formats per the client’s specifications. Thus, if given a suitable lead time for processing, we can provide several formats used for exteriors and interiors. The Kadapa Black stone is undeniably the most versatile natural stone we can work with hand or machine.
Exceptional choice of surface finishes:
Kadappa Stone is undoubtedly a hard material that we can process in several surface finishes and textures. The MOH’s scale has placed limestone with a hardness of 3. We must not let this number deceive us since the scale indicates abrasiveness. We can use all mechanical processes to achieve great surface finishes and grooved textures. However, we may not be able to achieve a highly reflective mirror polish as in granite and other harder rocks. You can source from all the surfaces and textures on our Stone Surface Finishes page. However, please note that if you require a thermally flamed surface, intense heating may affect limestone colors.
Black Limestone combines well with other stones:
Lastly, the designers wish to use their creativity to develop a project we can cherish for a long time. Rather than using a single product, they have endless possibilities of combining Kadappa Stone with other products. This stone combines with its peers, Shahabad Yellow and Tandur Blue Limestone. It can also integrate with different stone types and complement lighter colors. Therefore, the Kadappa Stone is an excellent choice for primary and supporting use.
